1. The pressure used when combing hair. After waking up, hair is often messy and difficult to manage. Some impatient people try to comb their hair forcefully and roughly from top to bottom, which can easily break hair and damage the scalp. The correct way is to first grasp the middle section of the hair, gently comb the ends, and then comb downwards from the scalp.

2. The water temperature for washing hair. Some people, especially men, like to rinse their hair directly under the tap on hot days, finding it refreshing. Women sometimes also use cold water for convenience. This makes it easy for the head to get chilled, leading to a cold. Water that is too hot is also unsuitable, as it can damage the scalp. Generally, a temperature between 40-50°C is ideal.

3. The part of the hand used to wash hair. When getting your hair washed at the salon, you might be asked, "Do you prefer to use your fingernails or your fingertips?" Scratching your scalp with your fingernails feels very comfortable, and sometimes the scalp gets itchy; scratching relieves the discomfort. However, the downside of using your fingernails is that it easily causes a lot of dandruff. Using your fingertips, because the muscles are in contact with the scalp, not only has the effect of clearing the meridians and promoting blood circulation, but also doesn't produce as much dandruff.

4. Hair washing tips. Many people have heard that adding a little vinegar to the water when washing their hair can make it shinier. Another tip is rice water. Collect the water from rinsing rice for the past day or two, let it ferment naturally, and then mix it with warm water. There might be a slight odor after washing your hair, but this will dissipate. Continue using this method for a period of time, and your hair will become black and shiny. If you don't want to collect rice water, you can also use flour to make a noodle soup.

5. Precautions for using a hairdryer. Sometimes after washing your hair, you don't like the wet feeling, so you use a hairdryer to dry it faster. However, hair dryers emit significant radiation, and frequent use can cause hair to lose more moisture, making it increasingly dry. Therefore, it's sufficient to only dry the top of your hair to prevent catching a cold, and ensure the ends aren't dripping wet. It's recommended to go outside for a walk and let natural air dry your hair.
