To enhance the effect of thicker eyelashes, apply a second coat of mascara before the first coat dries completely; otherwise, clumping is likely to occur.
For those with monolids, choose a lengthening mascara, sweeping it from the roots to maintain curl all day. For those with double eyelids, a volumizing mascara is recommended to make the eyes appear larger and conceal puffiness.
To make the mascara last longer, rub some loose powder onto your eyelashes with your finger. When applying mascara, rotate the brush as you pull it out to avoid applying too much and making the lashes look messy. Also, avoid getting mascara on areas outside the lashes. Apply mascara to the upper lashes, tilting your head back and looking directly into the mirror until your eyelids droop about one-third of the way down. Hold the mascara wand horizontally and apply to several lashes at a time, again brushing from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner. To avoid smudges, place a tissue under your eyelashes. When using mascara, rotate the thin stick back and forth inside the tube several times until evenly coated, and wipe away any excess mascara from the edges of the tube. You can apply two coats, but be sure to wait for the first coat to dry slightly before applying the second.
For lashes that are stuck together due to the mascara, use an eyelash comb to separate them from the roots while the mascara is still wet. If the mascara has dried, use a fine-toothed comb or small brush to gently comb upwards and remove excess mascara to loosen the lashes.
Be sure to thoroughly remove the mascara before going to bed to prevent your lashes from drying out. Never curl your lashes after applying mascara, as this can break them. Mascara is generally used for 3-4 months; avoid using it for too long. Use opened mascara immediately, as the refining agent evaporates easily. If the mascara dries out, store it in a cool place, even in the refrigerator.
